Luciano Pavarotti Opera Star Tenor

Luciano Pavarotti (October 12, 1935 – September 6, 2007)

The world is a sadder, smaller, less magical, place with the passing of Luciano Pavarotti.

Pavarotti was an Italian tenor and one of the best known and loved contemporary vocal performers in the world of opera. Luciano was one of the few opera stars who was able to perform brilliantly across multiple musical genres.

Known worldwide for his televised concerts, media appearances, and as one of The Three Tenors, Pavarotti was also admired for his charity work for raising money on behalf of refugees and the Red Cross.

Jennifer Aniston Top Hollywood Star

Jennifer Aniston still looks like a little kid but she has become one of Hollywood’s top draws at the box office. Perhaps her youthful thin appearance is one of the secrets to her success.

Jennifer Aniston (her original last name was Anastassakis, no wonder her family changed it when they moved to the U.S. from Greece) was born on February 11, 1969, in Sherman Oaks, California. Jennifer is the daughter of John Aniston, who starred as Victor Kiriakis on the daytime soap Days of Our Lives, and Nancy Dow, an actress and model. Jennifer is also the goddaughter of the late Telly Savalas.

Jessica Alba Hot Movie Actress

Jessica Alba was born as a U.S. Air Force brat in Pomona, California, on April 28, 1981. There is no offense intended by that statement by the way. I grew up myself as an Air Force brat and also lived for a short while in Biloxi, Mississippi, home of Keesler Air Force Base.

Jessica Alba and her family moved to Biloxi, Mississippi, when she was an infant. Three years later her career Air Force father brought the family back to California, then to Del Rio, Texas, before finally moving to Southern California when Jessica was nine.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Body Building Politician

You have to give Arnold Schwarzenegger credit for determination and for being willing to work hard at gruelling tasks. Arriving in America from his native Austria with just a few Dollars to his name he parlayed careers in body building and then as an action hero Hollywood actor into a political career. Just watch the video below to see how hard a young Schwarzenegger worked at being a world class body builder.

Homer Simpson TV Star

Since 1987 Homer Simpson has been a fixture on American TV. Yes, Yes, I know Homer is an animated figure, not a real person, but as the head of a family that has had the most successful longest running TV series in history I thought that Homer should be honored anyway. He surely does seem all too real when you are watching him.

Homer is a husband to his high school sweetheart Marge, safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, bowler, beer drinker, astronaut, small business owner and dreamer, and father to Bart, Lisa, and Maggie.

Michael Schumacher F1 World Champion

German ace Michael Schumacher is widely regarded as the best F1 race driver of all time. Michael won the highly competitive F1 World Championship title seven times.

In 1995 Michael became the (at that time) youngest double Formula 1 World Champion (1994 and 1995 seasons) ever. He also won the 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 World Championships. This phenomenal record is unmatched in racing car history.

In 2003 he beat Juan Manuel Fangio’s five championships from the 1950s, by taking his sixth world championship. At the end of the 2006 season Michael retired from F1 racing a wealthy man. He reportedly received a salary from Ferrari of $40,000,000 for the 2006 racing season.
Michael’s endorsement income would add many millions more to that figure.
